THE ART OF WINE MAKING is an exclusive wine tourism experience for groups of more than 20 people , designed for those who want to discover the world of wine from a cultural, historical and architectural perspective. This activity invites you to enter a unique space in the Priorat: the Celler Cooperatiu de Cornudella de Montsant , an authentic Modernist-style Wine Cathedral , with more than 100 years of history.
The visit begins with a guided tour of the modernist winery , a century-old building considered an industrial monument and one of the most emblematic heritage elements of Cornudella de Montsant. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, this winery is an exceptional example of modernist architecture applied to the rural world, designed to dignify the work of the vineyard and the production of wine. During the tour, you will discover its spectacular facilities, the naves, the arches, the original deposits and the spaces that have seen generations of winegrowers pass through.
Throughout the visit, you will learn in depth about the winemaking history of Priorat and Montsant , as well as the key role of cooperatives in the economic and social development of the territory. We will explain the main differences between the winemaking process of our ancestors and current production systems , highlighting technological evolution without losing the essence of tradition. This contrast between past and present will allow you to understand how the quality and identity of the wines have been maintained over time.
