Last November, as part of the Temps de Priorat Enoturisme festival, two episodes of the popular podcast “Els Més Frescos” were recorded at the Celler Cooperatiu de Cornudella. This event was one of the highlights of the festival and featured the participation of the winery’s president in both episodes.

Temps de Priorat Enoturisme is an annual festival that celebrates the wine culture of the Priorat region, one of the most prestigious wine regions in Catalonia. This festival attracts wine lovers, sommeliers, oenologists and tourists from all over who come to enjoy wine tastings, visits to wineries, and cultural activities related to the world of wine. The festival stands out for its ability to combine the historical and natural heritage of Priorat with unique wine tourism experiences.

“Els Més Frescos” is a podcast dedicated to exploring the stories, people and innovations behind the world of wine. Through interviews with experts, winemakers and other players in the sector, the podcast offers a unique and entertaining vision of the wine scene. The recording of the two episodes at the Celler Cooperatiu de Cornudella was an opportunity to highlight the particularities of Priorat and share them with its audience.

Francesc Adzerias, president of the winery, was one of the guests in both episodes, offering his perspective and sharing interesting anecdotes about the winery and its evolution over the years.

The recording of these two episodes of the podcast “Els Més Frescos” was not only a success during the festival, but also had a significant impact on the promotion of Priorat as a wine tourism destination. PRESENTATION OF THE NEW VINTAGES OF 8C+ WINES

The Celler Cooperatiu de Cornudella de Montsant will present next Sunday, June 23, at half past one in the afternoon, the new vintages of two of its most representative wines.

The first 8c+ saw the light of day in September 2016. A signature red wine that was presented, as a tribute to the climbing community, with these words:

“The difficulty of a route, the effort and training necessary to reach a goal, the man who meets the wildest nature to overcome a challenge… Our 8c+ wine represents, in the same way, satisfaction of a result, of a job well done; a difficult and wild viticulture that brings us territory; a characteristic Montsant for its fresh and spicy grenache that gives way to a powerful and structured samsó. Aromas of earth and ripe fruit, from late harvests, with a pleasant and contained acidity and a lively and fresh mouthfeel, complex and free like our land. Like climbing.”

The good reception of the 8c+ black led to the appearance, a few years later, in September 2020, of the white 8c+, a Macabeu and Grenache red wine from 2019 characterized by an intense and fresh acidity.

The two new wines that the Celler Cooperatiu de Cornudella invites you to get to know with the presentation on Sunday are the 8c+ red vintage 2019 and the 8c+ rosé vintage 2023.
